Robinhood recently announced at his keynote address in Cannes that he would launch a European Union-wide encrypted currency service, as well as new features in the United States, including renewable futures, tokenization shares, encryption pledges, and an AI assistant and home block chain. The company CEO Vlad Tenev stated: “We have the opportunity to prove to the world what we have always believed — that the encrypted currency is not just an speculative asset, but has the potential to be the backbone of the global financial system.”

This expansion not only marks the latest attempt by Robinhod in the area of digital assets, but also shows that a wider range of financial technology and traditional financial institutions are gradually entering the encryption industry.

European Extension

Full applications, which would have been available in only six countries, now cover the entire European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. The project was carried out later this summer, thanks to the fact that Robinhod obtained a licence for Markets in Cripto-Assets (MiCA) to operate in the European Union. This means that Robinhood can introduce services that are not available in the United States, such as the renewal of futures. In addition, Robinhod announced that he would launch a monetization of the United States Stock and Exchange Fund in the European Union, an initiative that Tenev has been advocating over the past few months through opinion articles, interviews and podcasts.

The monetized shares will initially be released on Arbitrum, while future monetized shares will be based on the Robinhod 2nd floor block chain still under development.

Additional functionality and services

For eligible U.S. clients, Robinhod will also initiate the encryption pledge service in Taifung and Solana, which will also be available in the EU. At the same time, Robinhod launched the AI Investment Assistant, Cortex for Cripto, who will be open to Robinhod Gold members later this year to enable them to view selected insights, trends and analyses.

Expansion of the financial technology industry

Robinwood is not the only company that has gone into the field of encrypted money. Traditional players, such as Morgan Stanley, who owns the E-Trade platform, and financial technology giants such as Revolut, are strengthening their digital asset operations. In the meantime,Kraken.Other encryption pioneers are involved in traditional financial services, such as stock exchanges, which have been important on the long list of wishes of BlackRock CEO Larry Fink for many years.

It was just hours after Kraken announced the introduction of a monetization of United States stocks, and Robinwood released it. In his statement, Co-CEO Kraken Arjun Sethi said: “This is the first time that people around the world can own and use shares in tokenized shares like currency. You can transfer, hold, spend or borrow. All of this can be done directly from your wallet, without intermediaries, without restrictions and without delay.”

More large banks, such as Chase Morgan, United States banks, Citigroup and banks in rich countries, are also reportedly exploring the possibility of issuing their own stabilization notes.
