The development of financial technology around XRP Ledger in Korea is warming. The local XRPL Native Accelerated Plan KFIP 2026 has selected 12 finalists from 270 enrolment teams, which will be presented in Seoul on 25 June, focusing on off-site financial applications.
12 teams into the final show.
The scheme is known as one of the largest XRPL original acceleration projects in Korea, with the participation of financial technology entrepreneurship teams, developers and financial service innovators. The short-term team projects cover four directions: payment and foreign exchange; credit and trade finance; mortgage and liquidity; and AI finance.
The finals will be held in Seoul, as disclosed by the organizers, not with a focus on the concept but on how these programmes can access real financial scenes.
- Number of registered teams 270
- The number of final teams is 12
- The final show is on 25 June.
Cross-border payments and trade finance focus
In the direction of payments and foreign exchange, the team has developed, inter alia, cross-border transfer and foreign exchange infrastructure, and hopes to improve the efficiency of cross-border financial flows through the settlement speed and lower transaction costs of XRPL.
Credit and trade finance, in turn, places greater emphasis on process transparency and financing efficiency, with the goal of providing smoother financing instruments for enterprises involved in international trade and reducing trust and docking costs in traditional processes.
At the same time, the focus mortgage and liquidity team is trying to improve the efficiency and liquidity management of funds, demonstrating the space for XRPL to apply to the broader financial infrastructure landscape.
Some programmes are online
One change in the current plan is that some of the final teams are no longer in the early conceptual stages, but are beginning to advance products that can be used directly. It was reported that some programmes had been deployed to the XRP Ledger main network prior to Demo Day.
This means that the project is moving from a pilot development to a closer operational phase. For XRPL, this type of main line project is more reflective of ecological activity and real adoption than a simple conceptual presentation.
The article also mentions that earlier this year, Korea once contributed about 33 per cent of global XRP transactions. As local developers and financial technology teams accelerate into the XRPL ecology, Korea ' s influence in XRP-related applications and trading activities may continue to rise.
