Apple highlighted the Siri AI upgrade at this month's developer's conference, but its more complete AI route is gradually landing through a set of small functions scattered across the system. According to TechCrunch's combo, iOS 27 places greater emphasis on putting AI in an application that the user is already using, rather than relying on a dialogue assistant alone.
These features are now in the developer ' s test version, which will be followed by open testing, and are scheduled to be officially online with iOS 27. The overall direction is to reduce manual operations and make iPhone more automated on payments, password management, message processing, scheduling and information collation.
Bill share and password processing
In the restaurant closing scene, the user can share the bill through Apple Cash. The system identifies the items, quantities, tips and totals in the receipt photographs, and allows participants to select their respective items. If more than one person is divided equally, it may also be divided in half, and taxes and tips are included.
In terms of password management, apples are ready to add automatic updating. The system recognizes weak passwords or passwords that have been exposed during data leaks, and completes the website login and password upgrade process on behalf of users and reduces manual modification steps.
Messages, calls and calendars are more automatic
Messages will add a key to the suggested function. The system gives the next step based on chat content, e.g. by adding a reminder to a matter raised by a friend, picking out a picture from the photo library that is suitable for sharing, or prompting to the calendar when discussing a dinner, a meeting.
The telephone function will also add a "concrete" capability. For example, when a user calls an airline passenger service, the system can extract a reservation confirmation code from the mail and display it directly at the call interface to facilitate the rapid provision of information upon connection. Apple claims that this process was completed at the end of the equipment.
Calendar application supports the creation or modification of events in natural languages. Users need only describe the content of the arrangement, and the system automatically extracts information such as contact, location, etc., and generates event titles to reduce the number of steps to fill out the form item by item.
Quick Command, Home and Safari Collapse
The Shortcuts application will also lower the use threshold. In the past, this function was more pro-user and required a manual set-up process. In iOS 27, the user can directly describe the tasks that the mobile phone is expected to perform, with the system generating the corresponding automation, such as sending the expected arrival time automatically at the end of the day, or opening the porch lights when the takeout closes.
Home application reduces repetition of notifications. The system combines a series of related actions, such as home, garage doors, access to houses, etc., and no more article by article. It can also help to search for footage of particular events and to place more visible video clips worth viewing.
For Safari, apples will be added to the tab wrapper function. The system identifies current user views and automatically categorizes tabs by theme, for example by organizing pages related to travel plans in the same group to facilitate subsequent follow-up.
From this update, apples advance AI on iPhone, preferring to embed their capabilities into existing software processes, rather than only around Siri. This route is closer to the day-to-day use of the scene than the emphasis on chat AI.
