The British administration, Billie Gifford, and the Bank of New York Melon (BNY) launched a monetized fixed-income fund to further move the traditional fund structure into the public chain. The company disclosed that the product followed the structure of the United Kingdom ' s regulated open investment company (OEIC) and registered the infrastructure along the chain with the Taiaf and Solana.
Fund for eligible investors
The fund, known as Billie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund, known as BAGEY, is in United States dollars and is invested in open-market corporate debt, with a strategy to be managed and configured over a short period of time. According to the disclosures, the current rate of return is about 7 per cent.
The Fund will be open to eligible investors from the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the Cayman Islands, subject to local applicable laws, regulatory requirements and distribution restrictions.
- Product name: Bailey Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund
- Asset type: short-term corporate debt in open markets
- Current disclosure rate of return: around 7 per cent
With the Taipei and Solana as the bottom of the register
The company disclosed that the fund did not include another layer of coin outside the traditional fund, but was issued directly in the chain, with the block chain itself assuming the holder ' s registry function. According to this design, the investor holds the share of the fund per se rather than a map of the additional packaging.
Theo Golden, the head of the Baille Gifford digital asset and monetization operations, stated that the focus of the chain funds was not just on digital display, but on direct processing of holding registers and investor rights.
BNY provides tokenization and wallet services
In the division of labour, BNY is responsible for the fund ' s monetization and wallet infrastructure, and NatWest Trustee and Debtary Services plays a role in the hosting and storage of the fund. BNY indicated that monetization was moving from conceptual validation to practical application and that the regulated fund structure was adapting to a more digital market environment.
This cooperation shows that RWA is continuing to expand from highly liquid assets such as national debt and IMF to fixed-income products such as corporate debt. For the public-chain ecosystem, the direct use of the Taifung and Solana as the bottom distribution and registration areas by traditional management institutions also means that the financial infrastructure of the chain is moving further into the mainstream institutional product system.
Additional information:Billie Gifford, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is 118 years old; the product is based on the British Regulatory Fund framework rather than a separate SPV structure.
