Coinbase has opened two ARTHROPIC-PERP and OPENAI-PERP pre-dispensive contract transactions, which were officially launched on 22 June at 11 UTC. The new product introduces two unlisted AI companies, OpenAI and Anthropic, into the encrypted derivatives market, where traders can trade around valuation expectations before they land on the open market.
Two contracts are officially open.
According to Coinbase, the two contracts now support the full transaction function. Users can participate in the transaction by using the limit, market, loss and loss lists, and the product form is close to the existing permanent contract of the Platform.
Such contracts do not correspond to corporate stocks per se, but rather allow the market to formulate successive offers around private company valuations. For AI companies that are not yet listed but with a high level of interest, such products provide an earlier price discovery window.
The focus of the transaction shifted to valuation expectations
OpenAI and Anthropic are currently one of the world ' s most concerned generating AI companies, but because IPO is not yet available, it is often difficult for ordinary secondary market investors to participate directly in their valuation changes. Coinbase's offline related contract was the equivalent of a valuation discussion that had originally been limited to the private market and a few institutions, and shifted in part to an open and encrypted derivatives trading scene.
In terms of product design, the market focus is not on stock-sharing, but on how prices reflect investors ' judgement about future finance, business growth and the potential market pace. Such contracts could become a new indicator of expectations in the markets of AI hotcomers if there is a subsequent expansion of turnover and holdouts.
AI Hotspot continues to enter the encryption market
In recent times, the AI theme has continued to extend to encrypted traded products. The Coinbase roll-out of these two contracts shows that the trading platform is trying to convert the hot-gates not yet covered by traditional equity markets into derivatives that can be traded in a chain-based setting.
For the Platform, this helps to expand the product line and attract traders interested in the AI theme. For the market, the ability of the relevant contracts to create stable liquidity and their prices to effectively reflect external financing and listing expectations will be the focus of follow-up observations.
