SpaceX and Open Source AI Creative AI reached a calculator collaboration of up to $6.3 billion. According to reports, Reflecting AI will pay $150 million per month from 1 July 2026, using the Nvidia GB300 chip resource deployed by SpaceX at the Colossus 2 data centre.
Maximum duration of contract to 2029
If the agreement continues into 2029, the cumulative scale of payments is approximately $6.3 billion. It was mentioned that the contract had an early withdrawal clause: after three months of cooperation, either party could terminate the agreement with 90 days ' notice.
This means that, while the parties have signed up for substantial cooperation, they retain the space for adjustment. For Reflecting AI, targeting high-end computing resources helps to advance model training and deployment; for SpaceX, it translates established data centre capacity into a continuous source of income.
Reflect AI gets GB300 resources
Reflect AI is to open the source artificial intelligence model in a direction that allows users to view, customize and run the model more directly. It was reported that the company had not publicly released the forward open source model, but had received government and national security-related customer attention.
The report also mentions that Reflecting AI is participating in the Genesis Mission of the United States Department of Energy, also linked to the broader Pentagon AI project. Such long-term calculator agreements are particularly important for AI against the background of continued high-end Nvidia chip availability.
- Monthly payments were $150 million
- Cooperation began on 1 July 2026
- If implemented to 2029 totals about $6.3 billion
And colossus starts off the outside.
The deal also shows that SpaceX is expanding the colossus infrastructure from an internal AI infrastructure to a foreign business platform. According to reports, in addition to Reflecting AI, SpaceX has worked with Anthony, Google and Cursor.
The demand for large computing clusters continues to increase as access to advanced chips becomes more difficult. SpaceX is entering markets that were originally dominated by cloud service providers and AI infrastructure companies by selling the calculus.
Moving on with financing after listing
It was also mentioned that SpaceX had announced the issuance of advanced unsecured instruments following the recent completion of a record IPO. The company indicated that the funds would be used to reimburse bridge financing and for the general business purposes.
This indicates that, in addition to rocket and satellite operations, SpaceX is also accelerating the expansion of AI infrastructure and related financing channels in an attempt to translate hardware inputs into new commercial revenues.
