The Swedish recruitment start-up company Fika Jobs completed $4 million in pre-seed financing to combine AI interview agents and short video job search files as a platform for both parties. With this funding, the company plans to continue to develop its products, expand its team and expand its reach later this year.
The platform lets the candidate finish the AI interview.
The Fika Jobs approach is to allow job seekers to access LinkedIn first and then generate personalisation problems by AI based on their background. The candidate will then complete a video interview of approximately 10 minutes with AI agents, currently using Google Gemini for the bottom model.
Upon completion of interviews, the system automatically compiles responses into short video clips and generates sustainable and up-to-date personal files. Unlike repeated deliveries under the traditional model, Fika wants job seekers to maintain a long-term online information page, which is viewed and looked back at by enterprises.
The company saw the interview pool.
Unlike a number of AI recruitment tools that focus on enterprise-level screening efficiency, Fika places greater emphasis on completing interviews before entering the pool. In other words, the business sees not just a résumé but a pool of candidates who have been interviewed and pre-evaluated by AI.
Companies believe that this approach is more likely to advance communication skills and personal expressions, which are particularly useful for job-seekers or job-seekers from non-traditional backgrounds, as these features are often difficult to reflect through paper curricula vitae.
It's an early visit this week.
However, video archives also present new risks of bias. Enterprises can see information about the age, gender, appearance and accent of candidates prior to evaluation, which may magnify discrimination. It was mentioned that some companies had previously turned to anonymous curriculum vitae screening for similar considerations.
Fika Jobs plans to open early visits to job seekers this week and to have a wider public access this autumn. The company will focus initially on the Swedish market, before further international expansion. The team is currently small, but is expected to grow to about 10 by the end of the year.
According to the founders, more than 100 companies have entered the alternate list and more than 50 have tested the platform, including Plenty Labs, SICS.ai, Kognity and Rebtel. In the business model, job-seekers are free of charge, and after successful recruitment, the platform charges 10 per cent of the candidate ' s first year ' s salary as a service fee.
Additional information:This round of financing was led by Luminar Ventures, with the participation of Alliance VC and the participation of Sebastian Knutsson and Riccardo Zacconi, co-founders of King, a hand-travel company.
