Google AI researchers continue to flow to Anthropic and OpenAI

According to external media reports, two more core AI researchers have recently left Google for Anthropic. The departure of Jonas Adler and Alexander Pritzel, who were involved in the Gemini model development, shows that the brain flow of the large head model team is still accelerating.

Over the past week, several prominent researchers from Google AI have announced their departure. It includes Noam Shazeer's transfer to OpenAI, and John Jumper will join Anthropic. Jumper was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2024 with Demis Hassanis for AlphaFold.

Increased competition for talent

OpenAI and Anthropic are preparing for listing. According to external sources, this makes it easier for them to attract top researchers with expected equity. For Google, the talent stability of the Gemini team is under greater pressure.
