The latest IDC data show that the AI advantage of Ingweida is extending from chip to data centre network equipment. For the first time, the company became the largest vendor in the data centre market for Ethernet switches, in terms of income, reflecting the accelerated construction of the AI data centre by the cloud-calculating giant, which is leading to the simultaneous expansion of supporting network hardware.

Markets increased to $10 billion in the first quarter

According to IDC, the data centre Ethernet switchboard market reached $10 billion in size in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 61 per cent over the same period of the previous year. Such equipment, which is mainly used to connect the AI chips, servers and other infrastructure within the data centre, is an important component of a large-scale training and reasoning system.

According to Paul Nicholson, Vice-President of IDC Research, this leap forward in Ingweida is one of the most visible changes in the manufacturing pattern in recent years in the area of enterprise network equipment.

  • Market size for one quarter: $10 billion
  • Growth per year: 61 per cent
  • For the first time, Ying Wei Da is the top of the income.

Spectrum-X-led growth

The IDC attributed the growth in income from the British Web to Spectrum-X products. The product is described as an integrated system that works closely with the AI chip, targeting clients who need to rapidly deploy AI infrastructure.

IDC considers this packaged programme to be more attractive to large cloud service providers. Clients can reduce the complexity of purchasing and integrating components from multiple vendors and complete data centre construction faster. Market trends also show that more and more enterprises tend to purchase computing and web-based products simultaneously.

Network business as a new growth point

This change is also in line with the data previously disclosed by British Wida. At a press conference in May, the company indicated that revenues from data centre network operations in a broader sense had increased to $15 billion, three times as high as during the same period the previous year.

The layout of Yin Weida in this field dates back to the acquisition of Mellanox in 2019. The acquisition allowed the company to gain access to the data centre network market before the full-scale outbreak of AI. As investment in AI data centres continues to increase, this component of the operation is becoming an important source of growth beyond its chips.

Cloud manufacturers are still decentralized.

However, the IDC also mentioned that the lead of Ingweida is not stable. Large cloud manufacturers are seeking to expand the range of suppliers to reduce their dependence on single manufacturers. Some enterprises may also continue to use existing network equipment suppliers when expanding infrastructure.
