The official Dogecoin account number was recently on platform X in response to the assertion that “the project did not have a developer”, stating that this determination was inaccurate. The account indicated that, in addition to the core development team, the construction of the Dogecoin Foundation, House of Doge, MyDoge, DogeOS and hundreds of eco-projects were ongoing.
Multi-party participation in official accounts
This discussion originated in a question from my Doge Chief Technical Officer Alex. He asked who continued to build Dogecoin in different market cycles. The subsequent message listed multiple participants, stressing that the network was not left unattended.
The official Dogecoin account then directly responded that “Dogecoin without developers” was a common misunderstanding. And this is how the projecters again show that Dogecoin has been maintained by developers since its birth.
Development work has been driven by small teams.
According to the information disclosed by the Dogecoin official network, the co-founder, Billy Markus, was in charge of the development of the first editions of Dogecoin Core alone at an early stage. In 2014, the new development team began taking over after the two co-founders withdrew from development work.
For many years thereafter, the Dogecoin development model has been dominated by a small team of defenders, coordinating more contributors to push for renewal. According to the projector, this structure has persisted in its history and is not what is termed “no-one-developed”.
Post-2015 based on bitcoin code In
Information from the Dogecoin official network indicates that since Dogecoin Core 1.10.0, the development team decided in 2015 to re-introduce the bitcoin code fork and, on that basis, to re-apply the relevant changes in Lettcoin. As a result, Dogecoin inherited a more mature code base in technological evolution and maintained a deeper link with bitcoin.
The project participants also indicated that additional resources would continue to be invested in the follow-up to improve Dogecoin to further its “people's currency” goal. Such work will continue to rely on the joint work of part-time contributors, volunteers and developers.
Recently advanced payment scenario expansion
In addition to the development team's statement, the Dogecoin ecology has recently advanced the downfall of payments. In June, House of Doge entered into a partnership with MoonPay to provide home-grown Dogecoin deposit support to more than 6000 businesses worldwide through MoonPay Commerce.
This progress shows that the current focus of the Dogecoin ecology includes not only the maintenance of the floor but also the continued expansion of the payment scene.
