Thomas Lee talks about the market. Fall Back
Mr. Thomas Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, attributed the recent weakness of the encryption market to late-season “carrying positions”, whereby some investors reduced their assets that had been weak in recent months by the end of the first half of the year in order to adjust the bookstores.
He said that the past week had not been easy for encrypted investors. Ethlabs fell by 8 per cent in a week, but there were new developments in its ecology during the same period, including the establishment of the Ethlabs and a decrease in the British Central Bank's attitude towards the currency stabilization. Bitmine is one of the main supporters of the new Ethlabs research institute. Prior to its establishment, the Etherak Foundation had experienced a period of instability and was accompanied by layoffs.
Bitcoin and Etherport or three quarters down.
To date, bitcoin and Ethera are likely to record a decline in the third consecutive quarter. The CoinGlass data show that in the second quarter of 2026, bitcoin fell by 12 per cent and by 25 per cent in the Taifeng. If this trend continues, Bitcoin will fall for the first time in three consecutive quarters since 2022, and the EtherFail will do so for the first time since 2019.
Against the backdrop of overall market pressure, Bitmine remains one of the few large treasury companies that continues to grow digital assets. In contrast, some of the peers have suspended their purchases in the current round.
Additional information:Bitmine, which did not mention new financing arrangements or re-targeting, maintains at this stage the established approach of holding 5 per cent of the volume of YTA.
