Proton launched version 2.0 on Tuesday for the AI chat robot Lumo. The new version adds image recognition, image generation and faster response speeds, and also enhances the project features associated with products such as mail, cloud storage, etc.

Add Image Capability

Lumo 2.0 now supports users to upload pictures and to analyse or edit them. It can also generate images based on hints, which are more functionally close to mainstream large model products.

Projects Add Continuous Memory

Proton also added a user-controlled, durable memory function to Projects. This feature allows Lumo to remember user preferences in different conversations and to continue processing documents and tasks across sessions.

Emphasis on privacy protection

Proton indicates that Lumo uses its so-called zero-access encryption structure, and that data are encrypted when transmitted and stored, only the user can access it. The company also stated that it would not keep server-end session logs or use client data for AI training or sharing with third parties.

Additional information:Lumo 2.0 is now open and, in addition to a free version, Proton offers a Plus and Professional pay package.
