By reference to sources, Bloomberg argued that the digital bank Erebor Bank was negotiating a new round of financing, with a valuation target of at least $8 billion. If the transaction is completed, the United States bank for encryption and technology will almost double the $4.35 billion at the end of last year.
Deposits rose to over $4 billion in months.
At the time of this round of financing discussions, Erebor had been in operation for a few months and deposits had grown rapidly. Reports indicate that the bank had deposits of approximately $1.1 billion at the end of March, which now exceeds $4 billion, with new clients close to 400 during the period.
The co-founder of Erebor, Palmer Lucky, told Bloomberg that the recent increase in deposits had come mainly from hundreds of new customers rather than associated businesses under his own control. This statement responds to external questions about its sources of growth.

Business focus on encryption and AI enterprise
Erebor was created with the participation of the founder of Oculus, Palmer Lucky, and was backed by investments in Silicon Valley institutions such as Andreasen Horowitz, Founders Fund and Lux Capital.
The owner calls for digital banking services and focuses on defence technology, hard technology, AI infrastructure and encryption. Its products include block-chain payments, secure asset mortgages and financing services for industrial projects.
From a business orientation perspective, Erebor attempted to take over some of the market vacancies left by the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, focusing on innovative enterprises that were under-covered by traditional banks but in which financing and settlement requirements were strong.
American National Bank licensing drives business expansion.
In addition to financing, Erebor has recently made regulatory progress. The United States Monetary Supervisory Authority (OCC) had previously granted the Bank initial conditional approval for a national bank licence to enable it to expand its operations within the federal banking framework and to more clearly serve encryption and AI start-ups.
At that time, OCC stated that as long as banks operated in a safe and secure manner, regulators would not place one-size-fits-all obstacles to digital asset operations. For Erebor, this progress has enhanced its compliance status and enhanced its ability to provide banking services to encrypted enterprises.
If the current round of financing is completed on the basis of the above-mentioned valuation, it will become a larger financing transaction in recent years in the digital banks of the United States for the technology and encryption industries.
