Ether: Vitalik Buterin claims that it will be the largest reconstruction since the merger

Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of the ETA, recently presented a reconstruction plan called “Simplified ETA”, which aims to overhaul the main parts of ETA over the next three to four years, while minimizing interference with existing applications. The plan prioritizes quantum security and privacy by redesigning encryption techniques, data storage and core protocol features to ensure that private and non-intermediated transactions become default settings.

Quantum safety and privacy priority

The “Simplified Ether Workshop” programme will limit the growth of the current state of flexibility, while adding a new, more scalable type of state, with the use of a back-to-back STARKs for light quantification and, ultimately, beyond the current EVM. Buterin states that quantum security has become an urgent task and plans are to replace all vulnerable parts of the quantum, including the cheap data storage required for the second-tier network of rollups, which relies on the Etheraf.

Design changes for core components

In addition, privacy has been elevated to the “first objective” and it is planned to design core network components to support private transactions by default. The self-certification approach of the Taifeng will also change, and the plan will rely on retrovalent STARKs for validation, thus increasing the speed and efficiency of the network.

Future developments and challenges

Buterin notes that the current state is the current memory of the block chain and that, as the number of users increases, the status record increases, resulting in increased costs and demand for running nodes, affecting decentrization. The streamlining of the ETA scheme would allow for a modest increase in the existing state of flexibility and the addition of a cheaper type of status, with a view to upgrading network storage capacity to above 100 TB by 2030.

The implementation of the plan will be accompanied by the upcoming upgrading of Glamsterdam, which, according to Buterin, will be the last fork before the full start of the era of streamlining. The road map represents a long-term investment in the future of the Ethera and a commitment to give priority to the protection of Quantum Safety and Privacy before they are generally not considered as pressing issues by the industry.
