Bitcoin returned to the vicinity of $64,000 over the weekend, recovering part of the land lost after Friday ' s fall, but the whole of the week remained almost even. The market is currently trading around two lines: the start of ceasefire negotiations in Switzerland between the United States and Iran, and Iran's renewed threat to close the Strait of Hormuz.

Main currency, mostly.

CoinDesk data show that Bitcoin Sundays are estimated at $64,200, an increase of 0.9 per cent for 24 hours. This was once a break of $63,000 on Friday. It rose 0.5 per cent that day, reported $1,734 and the weekly increase was 3.3 per cent; Solana rose 1.5 per cent to $73 and Tron rose 1.2 per cent.

Over the past week, Hyperliquid's HYPE has remained one of the strongest performing mainstream coins, with a weekly increase of 14.8 per cent, but a single day fall of 2 per cent. The dog coin was relatively weak, with a cumulative decline of 4.9 per cent for seven days.

  • BTC: About $64,200, 24 hours increase 0.9%
  • ETH: About US$ 1,734 per week, 3.3 per cent
  • SOL: About $73, which is 1.5% during the day

The negotiations between the US and Iran began in Switzerland.

It was reported that United States and Iranian officials would enter into permanent ceasefire negotiations in Switzerland, with the participation of the Vice-President of the United States, JD Vance. This round of consultations followed the signing of the relevant memorandum of understanding by Trump last week. The file sets a 60-day window period and allows an extension.

However, the market has not completely dispelled its concerns. Iran has once again ordered the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which has re-emerged the situation that should have been eased. Prior to that, as the agreements had facilitated the return of passage through the Strait, international oil prices had once fallen by 9 per cent last week, with the concomitant strengthening of risk assets.

Holmuz still suppresses emotions.

The Strait of Hormuz is an important global energy transport channel. If the threat of closure really landes, oil prices may return to high levels, thus slowing down risk assets, including bitcoin. On the contrary, if the ceasefire arrangements continue to move forward, it is expected that the geo-risk premium, which has been under pressure in the near future on the market, will diminish.

In this week's performance, bitcoin is still in a state of regional shock. The price was set back on Friday with the overall risk-avoidance sentiment, following the high news of the agreement in Iran, and again on weekends. The market is still waiting for a clearer direction from external events in the short term.
