Foreign media: Pavel Doorov, founder of Telegram, spoke in his recent interview about his long-standing views on bitcoin. He indicated that he had purchased bitcoin since 2013 and had not sold it to date and believed that such assets could rise to $1 million in the future.
Held since purchase in 2013
According to Dorov, he first bought bitcoin in 2013, at a price of about $700. He stated that he had invested millions of dollars at the time, buying the first few thousand bitcoin.
Shortly after the buy-in, bitcoin fell between $200 and $300. According to Dorov, this was generally considered a costly investment, but he did not consider selling it.
In his view, bitcoin had from the outset been more than just a common investment, but closer to a new form of currency built around freedom and decentrization.
It's called a bitcoin.
In his interview, Dorov also stated that Telegram had not brought him personal wealth but had long been a “loss project at the personal level”.
He claims that his way of life is often associated with Telegram, but that these years have supported his personal expenses, mainly with funds from early bitcoin investments.
This statement also explains why he chose to retain it after large price fluctuations rather than withdraw at an early stage of increase or withdrawal.
See how logic points to scarcity.
According to Dorov, one of the most important features of Bitcoin is that users have direct control over their assets and are not easily restricted for political reasons or frozen.
He also mentioned that, unlike the continuing expansion of the statutory currency, the supply path of bitcoin was fixed and predictable, which was the main reason why he continued to look at it.
According to him, the supply of French currency continued to expand in many countries around the world, and there was no problem of random increase in bitcoin. On that basis, he expected that bitcoin would continue to appreciate over the long term, with the potential to reach $1 million.
