Bitcoin spot ETF money outflows continued to expand in 2026. The Coinpedia quoted data show that over 100,000 BTCs left the ETF holdroom during the year. Since October 2025, when the ETF peaked, the cumulative outflow of more than 160,000 BTCs has been the largest retreat since the current ETF was listed.
The holdout retreats to expand.
The average purchase cost of bitcoin held by these ETFs is estimated to be close to $73,000. As the BTC price volatility increased, a number of holding warehouses were already at a loss. The market is therefore more concerned about whether financial outflows will continue.
Market interest in change
Reports indicate that the subsequent ETF foreclosure rhythm will be an important clue to the extent of Bitcoin short-line pressure. If outflows slow down, market pressures are reduced, and if they continue to expand, BTC prices may continue to be held back.
