As AI agents began to complete negotiations, payments and performance without intervention, disputes over contract implementation entered this new scene. The Coalition of 27 Institutions led by GenLayer Foundation recently launched the Internet Court, which seeks to provide a unified dispute-management portal for AI agency transactions and to access payment, hosting and adjudication processes.

Participants included OkX, MetaMask, Matter Labs and GenLayer. According to the information published by the project party, the objective of the agreement is not to resolve a particular chain of issues in isolation, but to allow for the interface between payment, hosting and dispute processing in the AI commercial system.
At present, transactions between AI agents are increasing, but the related infrastructure remains fragmented. Different agreements usually cover only a single part of payment, identity or interoperability, and the remaining processes still need to be co-mingled by the system, which also leads to a lack of a single export for dispute resolution.
The objective is to deal with inter-agent contract disputes
According to the projector, transactions between AI agents are similar to person-to-person transactions, and there are also performance differences and contract disputes. The problem was that traditional courts were not designed for high-speed transactions between machines and that the existing system of agents lacked original mechanisms for adjudication.
David Riudor, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GenLayer Foundation, stated that AI ' s business activities were expanding rapidly, but that the current system was not ready to deal with the consequences once differences arose between agents. He argued that the money flow at the machine ' s speed also required a corresponding rate of adjudication.
Access MetaMask Smart Account Tool
In terms of practical realization, GenLayer states that Internet Court has access to MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit and uses the ECC-7710 commissioning and x402 Facilitator. MetaMask states that these components will be part of the agreement and will be used to support the process.
The article also mentions that there are currently increasing agreements and standards around AI commercial collaboration, including the payment agreements introduced by Coinbase x 402, the ERC-8004 for proxy identity, and the Agent Interoperability Program for Google A2A. The Internet Court seeks to establish a link between these decentralized systems so that AI agents can complete their financial commitments and follow-up in case of dispute.
From an industry perspective, this attempt reflects the fact that AI agents are moving from purely automatic enforcement to more complete trading infrastructure. In addition to payment and identification, dispute resolution is becoming an integral part of the commercialization of AI agents.
