Meta has withdrawn one of the controversial AI functions of Instagram. This feature would have allowed users to generate or modify images by @ referring to public accounts.

This feature was launched with Muse Image. Muse Image is a new AI image generation tool launched by Meta Superintellince Labs. Meta has yet to provide a clear reminder of the quoted account number, which quickly elicited criticism.

Meta wrote on Friday that the introduction of this function was intended to provide a more useful creative tool and allow users to decide whether their public content could be quoted. However, the company indicated that external feedback indicated that this function was “not as expected” and was no longer available.

Public information indicates that TechCrunch also published a guide to help users turn off this feature. Puck News Founding Partner Dylan Byers first disclosed Meta’s adjustment.

Additional information:Byers also mentioned that Meta ' s decision to withdraw occurred after continued questioning by users and talent brokers, including CAA.
