On 7 July 2026, EDX Markets announced the completion of the $76 million C round of financing, which was sponsored by the Japanese SBI Holdings. EDX indicated that it would be used to expand transaction, clearing and settlement services, while accelerating product development and expanding operations outside the United States.
Financial support institution encryption infrastructure
EDX operates an agency-only encrypted market and central clearing house. Its United States trading platform provides spot transactions, while EDXM International provides permanent contracts for eligible non-United States institutions. Companies use the market structure of traditional exchanges to reduce conflicts between service providers.
EDX extension product and application for trust bank license
Earlier in 2026, EDX introduced EDX FlowConnect, a encryption service that allows companies to provide digital asset transactions to customers without having to build a complete exchange system. EDX also applied for the United States Monetary Supervisory Agency ' s trust bank licence and, if approved, would provide custody, liquidation, settlement and risk management services.
