Whether XRP needs SWIFT? Analysts say the future does not depend on SWIFT.

The recent bulletin marked an important step in the SWIFT digital asset strategy and renewed discussions on whether the relationship between the global information giant and XRP was competitive, cooperative or completely independent.

Several market analysts maintain that XRP does not require SWIFT for global adoption.

Market commentator X noted that Ripple had established an extensive financial network that enabled XRP to reach more than 13,000 banks and financial institutions. In the opinion of analysts, the relationship between the two ecosystems is widely misunderstood.

"XRP does not need SWIFT. It has access to over 13,000 banks. It's SWIFT that needs XRP."

This view reflects the broader conviction within the XRP community that Ripple has for many years established direct relationships globally with banks, pay providers, financial science and technology companies and regulators.

Ripple ' s block chain infrastructure aims to provide faster, cheaper and more efficient cross-border payments, rather than relying on the counterpart banking model initiated by SWIFT.

Similar views were expressed by computer engineers and long-term XRP commentators, Charusan, who noted that the ability of the XRP to thrive independently of SWIFT was one of its long-term strengths, not weaknesses.

According to Charusan, XRP was not designed to supplement traditional payment systems but to provide a better alternative. Analysts believe that block-chain technology has the capacity to completely replace outdated financial infrastructure, providing an opportunity for XRP to move beyond being just another layer of an existing system.

However, not all felt that the discussion should be centred around SWIFT.

XRP Legger dUNL certifier Vet stated that caution should be exercised in disseminating unverified statements that SWIFT had used XRP. On the contrary, the certifiers believe that investors should be concerned with the measurable progress being made by XRP Ledger itself.

These include greater cybersecurity, primary chain lending, a rapidly expanding stable currency ecosystem, foreign exchange capacity, areas of licensing applicable to institutional compliance, and continued increased privacy. These developments continue to enhance the practical utility of XRP Ledger as businesses and financial institutions continue to adopt them.

For Vet, continuous technological progress and actual adoption are far more important than speculation about potential partnerships.

Ultimately, the debate reflected two competing perspectives. One view was that XRP was a technology that could replace most of the traditional financial systems, while the other view was that its success would be driven by practical adoption, regardless of the role of SWIFT.

In any event, there is a growing consensus among proponents that the continued evolution of XRP Ledger, rather than its connection to SWIFT, will determine the long-term trajectory of the XRP.
