Ross Gerber, the main investor in Tesla, accused the founder of Strategy, Michael Seller, of destroying Bitcoin through undue leverage and market manipulation. Gber's accusations against Seller stem from the AI-generated video he published on social media, in which Seller was wearing medieval armor and next to him and Seller roasted oranges on a bonfire.
Geber's anger has been gestationing for months, and as early as June he clearly accused Seller of destroying the market and betraying retail investors. In social media, he said: “Selle said he would never sell bitcoin, but let the market collapse and lead to the liquidation of all speculators.”
Geber blames large corporate investors for the recent price fluctuations of Bitcoin, arguing that the greed of these large players prevents the market from recovering. He also questioned the long-term viability of Strategy and whether it was “sold low in despair”.
According to Gber, Strategy ' s business model is fundamentally flawed and the mere purchase of bitcoin does not create value. He mentioned that “the purchase of bitcoin through borrowing is not worth creating”.
In addition, Gber advocated a more traditional approach to wealth management, indirectly criticizing Seller ' s corporate financial strategy. In his view, the use of ETF could effectively avoid taxes on capital gains, which was his preferred method of managing digital assets.
