The President of the United States, Trump, called on the Senate to pass the Digital Assets Markets (CLARITY) bill in memory of the late Senator Lindsay Graham. He said that the United States should lead countries such as China in the areas of encryption and artificial intelligence. Despite the large number of supporters, the passage rate has dropped to 40 per cent due to ethical disputes and the stabilization of currency gains.

Trump's appeal.

On social media, Trump stressed that the United States must lead the race for encrypted ecosystems and artificial intelligence. His appeal was supported by Senator Cynthia Loomis and the Chairman of the Commission on Commodity Futures Trading, Mike Selig.

The bill is blocked.

Currently, the CARITY bill faces delays due to ethical issues relating to the possession of encrypted currency by public officials. Senators Angela Alzobrooks and Elizabeth Warren expressed concern, which led to a drop in the chance of passing the bill from 90 per cent at the beginning of the year to 40 per cent.

The Senate had only 20 days after its recess to pass the bill, and if the opportunity was missed, discussions could be postponed until the mid-September elections. The Chamber of Deputies Subcommittee on Financial Services is scheduled to hold a hearing on 17 July to review the framework of the bill.
