OpenAI responded to Apple ' s commercial confidentiality suit on Tuesday, local time, claiming that the charges in this case were unfounded. This is also the first official response to the case itself by OpenAI following the indictment filed by Apple last week by the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of California.

Apple sues ex-staff and hardware team.

In its 41-page petition submitted last Friday, Apple stated that many employees who had worked with Apple and had joined OpenAI were involved in an organized effort to obtain confidential information and intellectual property about Apple. The petition also named OpenAI hardware manager Tang Tan.

Public information indicates that Tang Tan worked for Apple for 24 years and held senior executive positions related to iPhone and Apple Watch product design. Apple stated that its internal investigation had found that OpenAI and its collaborators had used the apple's confidential information in advancing their own hardware product development.

OpenAI claims that the charges are unfounded

A few hours after the news of the Apple prosecution, OpenAi told TechCrunch that the company had no interest in the business secrets of other businesses and that the focus remained on developing innovative technologies that could serve a wider range of users.

In its latest response, OpenAI further contested Apple ' s claim, making it clear that the charges were not substantiated. To date, however, OpenAI has not responded publicly, article by article, to the specifics of the petition.

Synchronization of hardware layouts received attention

The case also echoes the recent hardware layout of OpenAI. It was previously reported that after acquiring the original company io created by Johnny Ive, OpenAI was accelerating its own equipment project, which was widely thought to be a direct competition with the existing Apple business.

On Tuesday, Bloomberg reported that OpenAI was developing a non-screen-free mobile smartphone product. If this information is true, it means that its hardware attempts may have reached a more specific product stage.
