The SK Hercules stock prices have recently fluctuated significantly, but the market focus is not just AI narrative itself. With the rise in trading after the company was listed in NASDAQ, the price differential between its United States Depository Certificate (ADR) and Korean-owned stocks increased rapidly, suggesting that the round was more influenced by the structure of the transaction and financial behaviour.

There's an obvious premium in the United States and Korea.

Currently, SK Hercules trades ADRs in NASDAQ, about 35 per cent higher than Korean local stocks. According to analysts, this premium is partly due to a fall in the United States investor participation threshold rather than a sudden improvement in the company ' s fundamentals.

After the new listing, United States investors no longer had to deal with Korean market settlements, exchange rate management and some investment authorization restrictions, and the purchase path was clearly simplified. This makes it easier to concentrate on ADR.

  • The United States market has relatively limited liquidity.
  • Differences in investor structure between locations
  • Overcrowded silos to magnify short-line fluctuations

The morning star analyst stated that, because of the short time that ADR had been on the market and the market was still looking for a reasonable pricing space, it was temporarily difficult for investors to judge how high their premiums should be compared to Korean equities.

Leverage ETF Push Volatility

In addition to the cross-market price differentials, a single leverage ETF is also increasing the volatility of SK Hercules. After the company landed in NASDAQ, the United States market emerged with its associated leverage products, further reinforcing the dynamic trading character.

Analysts note that current levels of retail investor participation and bond lending are high. Once the stock price has fallen rapidly, the additional bond requirement may be further magnified to make the short line more intense.

AI Basic face remains unchanged

Despite the obvious market shocks, the seller ' s agency as a whole maintained a relatively positive view of SK Hercules. KB securities in Korea indicate that the recent weakness is mainly a reflection of the warming of the market ' s concerns about the slowdown in AI investment.

At the same time, however, it was noted that neither the long-term AI growth trend nor the storage of the chip supply and demand fundamentals had changed significantly compared to a month earlier. Short-line price fluctuations reflect more of the repricing of liquidity, leverage and cross-market structures.
