As businesses integrate their employees, cloud applications and AI agents into their day-to-day operations, the short board of traditional identity and access management tools begins to be concentrated. Oak, Israel ' s original company, has made a public appearance, has centralized access to the enterprise and has disclosed that $6 million in seed ship financing was completed by the end of last year.
Oak stated that the product was officially open to the market and deployed in the client environment of some enterprises, but that the name of the customer was not disclosed. According to the company, most of the existing identity management systems are based on early cloud-era logic, and maintenance difficulties and security risks are increasing in the face of the large number of new lines of authority created by AI proxy involvement in the workflow.
Aim AI proxy privileges management
Oak was created by a continuous entrepreneur, Shai Morag, and Tal Marom. According to both, the enterprise now not only manages the employee accounts, but also manages the automated process, machine identification and access rights of AI agents, which makes the traditional IAM tool more vulnerable to problems such as expired privileges, redundancies in authorized access and delays in the detection of unusual access.
According to Oak, the company interacted for months with 100 chief information security officers and IAM directors before developing products, and subsequently developed an AI connection framework. The system adjusts access rights to the actual usage of applications and removes them in real time when they are no longer required, rather than relying solely on cyclical reviews.
The original team came from the security industry.
Morag has worked in the area of cybersecurity for more than 20 years and has had three business exits, including the sale of Secdo to Palo Alto Networks in 2018. In 2023, Tenable, a listed cyber security company, purchased the cloud identity security company he founded for $265 million, Ermetic, Morag, and subsequently retained his position as Chief Product Officer.
After that, he started a new business with Tal Marom who worked with Tenable. Marom held production-related positions in Salesforce and the Israeli military. Oak has formed a team of approximately 50 people during the covert operating phase and is continuing to recruit, focusing on expanding the United States market.
$6.0 million seed rotation land
This financing was co-financed by Accel, CCRV and Greylock Partners, with the participation of AlphaDrive Ventures, Hetz Ventures and a number of angel investors. Morag stated that the project had received a strong interest from the outset.
Oak expects that, as AI becomes more and more used for automation and collaboration, identity management tracks will attract more competitors. For this company, the next focus is to scale up product deployment and sales as soon as possible, and to secure a more rapid position in the traditional producer-led market.
