Pi Network disclosed that the network plans to upgrade to the V25 protocol on 22 July. The first round of updates will be tested on the online line before the main network is deployed. The restructuring was mainly focused on password components, privacy functions and network stability.
Test net deployment first.
According to Pi Network, V25 will be tested first. This means that the new function will be validated by the test environment before the subsequent main online rhythm. The projecter did not give a specific date for the main network switch in this note.
Introduction of zero knowledge certification support
This upgrade is expected to be added to the BN254 Password Program and Poseidon Hash, and to provide support for zero proof of knowledge. Pi Network also indicated that the update would result in more privacy-oriented smart contract functionality.
At the same time, project participants mentioned that the upgrading of the agreement also included improved network stability, with the aim of providing a basis for subsequent nodal capacity expansion.
Preparation for DEX ecology
Pi Network indicates that the design of V25 will also serve future nodes enhancement, open source development, and the planned decentrization of the clearing house ecology.
From the point of view of disclosure, the update is not just a routine maintenance exercise, but rather a bottom-up capability for subsequent expansion. The timing of the deployment of the testing network is now clear, and the main web drive is yet to be further announced by the project.
