Galaxy is moving institutional funds management operations further into the chain. The company disclosed that it had launched a treasury planning operation called Galaxy Curator, which was based on a decentralised lending agreement, Morpho, and was open to institutional clients through Fireblocks Earth, with the aim of enabling the agency to put idle stabilization currency into the chain revenue strategy without building its own DeFi operating system.
Distribution to institutions via Fireblocks
This product is first connected to Fireblocks Earth. According to Galaxy, the Fireblocks platform has more than 2400 institutional clients who can directly use the relevant strategies in the existing hosting and fund management processes without having to build a separate chain of lending, signature approval and winding implementation processes.
Galaxy indicated that the relevant transactions were still carried out through the existing Fireblocks approval, signature and strategic control systems. Assets are retained at the level of the agreement, and the agency is not required to outsource the operation to the traditional outsider.
The first two types of revenue strategy to go online.
The first products consisted of two vaults, with different risk-benefit positions:
- Quality Vault: A market supported by blue collateral with the main objective of preserving principal
- Enhanced Vault: Seeking higher returns, covering liquid pledge tokens, Pendle principal gold tokens and Ethena-related products
According to Galaxy, these products follow its risk framework for institutional lending and trading operations, including collateral standards, open ceilings and market monitoring mechanisms, which are used to screen the chain markets that can enter the vault.
Increased competition for revenue products in the institutional chain Wen.
This go-live also reflects the increasing competition for revenue products on the institutional chain. Over the past year, Bitwise, Gautlet, Steakhouse Financial, Wintermute, Dialectic and RockawayX institutions have launched or expanded treasury planning operations on Morpho.
As the encryption platform moves from a purely trading business to a chained financial product, the entry point for institutional funds is becoming a competitive focus. Robinhood expanded the monetization layout this month to include products such as monetization stocks, decentrization lending, etc.; Kraken also launched xStocks ecology, allowing eligible users to trade in monetization shares and use them for DeFi mortgages and revenue strategies.
Size of existing Galaxy agency operations
The company disclosed that the business was based on its existing institutional platform, which currently includes:
- Average loan book size approximately $1.4 billion
- Over $3 billion was pledged in 5 institutions
- Over 1,600 networks distributed by institutional counterparties
Galaxy positioned the product as an enterprise-level chain-revenue tool rather than a high-revenue product for retail users. The company also stated that Fireblocks was only the first distribution channel and that it was subsequently hoped to connect the related treasury products to more institutions and retail platforms.
