The encryption voucher infrastructure company Alpaca announced the completion of $135 million in equity financing and plans to continue the expansion of the bottom-up systems required for monetization of stocks. Such systems link the United States stock market to the block-linking network, mainly to exchange and monetization platforms.
Total financing increased to $435 million
The company disclosed that the current round of equity financing was led by Peak XV, with the participation of Elefund, Obera Tech Ventures under the umbrella of BNP Paribas and Unborn. Alpaca just completed the $150 million D round in January of this year, when the company was valued at $1.15 billion. The new valuation was not disclosed in the bulletin.
In addition to equity financing, Alpaca has also secured debt financing, mainly by the Kraken parent companies Payward and BMO. The total size of this financing programme, when combined with equity and debt, was $435 million.
The company claims to have more than $1.5 billion in stock.
The funds will be used to expand the monetization infrastructure. For such operations, chain issuance does not mean that traditional securities links can be bypassed. Second-level stocks still need to be held by regulated institutions, while also addressing corporate actions such as red-red-down and stock-breaking and linking chain transactions to traditional markets.
The company disclosed that Alpaca had at one time liquidated or hosted approximately 94 per cent of the monetized shares of the United States and that the partners involved such platforms as Binance, Ondo and Dinari. According to it, the base American shareholdings held through its infrastructure to support monetized shares currently exceed $1.5 billion.
The competition for tokenized stocks continues to rise.
According to the report, monetized stocks grew by nearly 300 per cent in 2025 and the market size was about $963 million in January of this year. Since then, Coimbase, Kraken and others have also continued to advance stock operations along the chain.
Against this background, Alpaca's financing shows that the competition for monetized shares is extending to liquidation, hosting and compliance connectivity at the front end. The importance of lower-level infrastructure is increasing as more platforms are deployed to the American stock chain.
Additional information:CoinDesk reported that Alpaca did not disclose the latest valuation after the current round of financing in the bulletin.
