Morgan Stanley Cowarding Platform E*TRADE has completed the online encryption services. The company disclosed that eligible customers could now buy and sell directly on the platform and hold Bitcoin, the Inn and Solana at a rate of 0.5 per cent per transaction.
Current support for transactions and hosting
This service was extended to all eligible clients following a pilot in May. E*TRADE indicates that the current functionality includes transactions and hosting, that the base infrastructure is provided by Zerohash, and that the related assets are stored in a hosting account linked to the customer account.
The company also indicated that it planned to include the transfer and transfer of encrypted assets later in the year, but did not disclose the exact time. This means that in the future the customer can transfer supported assets between the E*TRADE account and an external address.
- Support assets: BTC, ETH, SOL
- Transaction rate: 50 basis points per piece
- Current function: trading, holding and hosting
To be moved to Digital Trust during the year
E*TRADE is expected to relocate the encryption service later this year from Zerohash to Morgan Stanley Digital Trust, the national trust bank under construction in Morgan Stanley. The company linked the move to the transfer function on line, but did not give a clear date.
Morgan Stanley applied to the United States Monetary Supervisory Authority (OCC) earlier this year for a National Trust Bank licence for encryption-related operations. In the original version, the application places it on the same track as the Coinbase, Cripto.com and Ripple institutions. It is also mentioned that Ripple has received OCC conditional approval.
Synchronize ETF working with lending
In addition to spot trading, Morgan Stanley is promoting additional encryption products. It was mentioned that the company was preparing to launch two ETFs linked to the Ether and Solana, and that the revised S-1 document indicated that the product was on line, but the date of the official transaction had not yet been disclosed.
Previously, Morgan Stanley also launched a spot bitcoin ETF. According to SoSoValue data quoted in the text, the Fund ' s net assets at that time were $384 million. Also, crypto.news previously reported that up to two weeks prior to 11 July, Morgan Stanley was tracking an increase of nearly 1,000 bitcoin holding warehouses, totalling over 5,700.
In June this year, Morgan Stanley's wealth management also worked with Galaxy Digital. Under the arrangement, eligible high-net-value customers can lend Bitcoin, the Injeel and Solana to Galaxy and obtain a share of off-the-shelf encrypted investment products, including Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust.
Additional information:The original version presents E*TRADE online, pending ETF, Digital Trust applications and Galaxy cooperation, but these operations are subject to different customer access, cost arrangements and regulatory requirements.
