In the third quarter of 2026, the Encrypted Market Review issued by Bitwise revealed that about 79 per cent of the large financial institutions it tracked had cooperation, pilot projects or other business links with Ripple or XRP. At the same time, XRP Ledger is promoting a number of functional upgrades to the institutional landscape, covering payments, tokenized assets and chained financial services.

Related to banks, management and payment companies

Among the institutions listed in the report are Bank of America, Beled, Melon Bank of New York, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Morgan Chase, MasterCooper, Swiss Bank, Visa and Bank of Rich Countries.

The report also mentions that Melon Bank, New York, is the main custodian of the Ripple Stabilized Currency RLUSD and also provides hosting services for the XRP ETF in Bitwise.

XRP Legger Extension Application

In specific operations, Ripple is working with Morgan Chase, MasterCooper and Ondo Finance to advance the XRP Ledger-based dollar-based United States Treasury debt project. According to the report, MasterCare is also exploring payment and settlement systems that combine RLSD and XRP Ledger.

In addition to the monetized assets, agencies such as Santander, Standard Chartered Bank, SBI Holdings and CIBC are still using RippleNet to process cross-border payments, showing that Ripple's existing network is still based on the payment scene.

A number of new features for the business scene

  • Bulk transactions: multiple transactions processed once
  • Confidential transfers: concealing the amount of the transaction while meeting compliance requirements
  • Delegation of authority: Allowing employees to have limited account privileges without having to hand over full wallet control Right

In addition, the update includes multipurpose tokens that can be customised and optimized to reduce memory occupancy and improve network efficiency. These functions mainly serve the payment of business, the issuance of monetized assets and their application at the institutional level.

Ripple proposes a chain lending framework

Ripple has also proposed an XRP Ledger lending framework. If the proposal is approved, the financial institution may take mortgages around monetized assets and automatically process repayments, interest payments and default management through the chain system.

From a business point of view, Ripple is trying to further extend the positioning of XRP Ledger from cross-border payments to financial services such as borrowing to attract more institutions to deploy assets and settlement processes in the chain.
