Alphabet's quarterly performance will be published on 22 July, and the market is now focusing on the growth of cloud operations, AI advertising revenues, and the advancement of the Gemini series. On the eve of the financial crisis, the Agency's judgement of this technology giant remained positive.
Jefferies maintains buy-in ratings.
In a report sent to clients on 21 July, the Jefferies Analyst, Brent Thill, maintained the purchase rating for Alphabet and set the target price at $445. As stated, the opening price of Alphabet was approximately $353.
This means that the investment bank still sees Alphabet's performance before and after the financial statements. The market is now more concerned about the growth of its cloud business and the pull it brings to advertising.
Gemini 3.5 Pro progress concerns
Earlier, Bloomberg had reported that Alphabet had delayed the launch of the Gemini 3.5 Pro model, raising concerns in the market about the pace of its AI competition, and thus under pressure on stock prices.
In response, Alphabet indicated to Yahoo Finance that the company was testing Gemini 3.5 Pro, the upgraded Flash model and other models, and that it would expedite the roll-out of different models while maintaining customer cost-effectiveness.
The financial statements will test AI's performance.
Prior to this performance, the market generally expected that Alphabet would hand over stronger cloud operations and AI advertising revenue data, both of which were also considered to be major factors influencing stock price expectations.
The current optimistic judgement of the agency may be further strengthened if the financial reporting data meet or exceed expectations. On the contrary, market sentiment may also fluctuate again if the advance or commercialization of AI products is not as advanced as expected.
