Light Flip, the main start-up company with a very simple phone, launched the first roller. This is currently the cheapest piece of equipment for users who wish to reduce the time spent on smartphones but still retain basic communication capabilities.
Price reduced to $299.
Light was created by Kaiwei Tang and Joe Hollier. Tang was involved in the design of Motorola Razr. The two founders indicated that the team had been in constant contact with young users who had used over the past few years and had found that many people liked the simple experience of such devices but were not satisfied with the work done on existing products.
Light Flip significantly lowers the threshold compared to the previous sale price of $799. This time, the company removed the touch screen, the NFC and the front camera, and the body materials were changed from aluminium to plastic in return for lower prices.
Retain basic communication and entertainment functions
LightFlip uses a 2.8 inch inner screen, with no side-screening, but will retain a light to display the notification status. The device supports 5G and 4G LTE, which can download podcasts online and play the music that users import.
On the hardware configuration, the cell phone is equipped with 12 million pixels back-up cameras to support 3.5 mm headphone interfaces, bluetooth headphones, USB-C charge charges, and compatible with eSIM and Nano SIM physical cards.
Try the contract and the split.
In addition to the sale of a single machine, Light is testing the contract. Light Flip is a monthly fee of $39 and Light Phone III is a monthly fee of $59 after a two-year contract signed by the user, according to the Light package.
The company expects that Light Flip will deliver in April 2027. As a result of the longer lead time between pre-sale and delivery, Light also launched the "Flip Your Life" package, which seeks to help book users adapt to a lifestyle that reduces the use of smart phones.
