Telegram is preparing to integrate the encrypted wallet directly into the application body. According to the founder, Pavel Doorov, this feature is planned to go online on a large scale in the summer of 2026, covering all versions of Telegram, which users can receive and send directly to Gram in a chat interface.
Overwrite all applications
This time it was not an external plugin or a wallet entry that jumped the web page, but rather a wallet function for Telegram. Users can make transfers within existing interfaces without having to download additional third-party applications or register exchange accounts.
According to the article, Telegram has more than 1 billion live users. If this feature is rolled out as planned, it will be one of the largest encryption wallet deployments for ordinary users.

Main charge non-trust and zero charges
The core set of the wallet is non-trust. In other words, the user owns the private key and the platform does not keep the funds. This design is more in line with the usual model of self-custody wallets for an encrypted market that has experienced the risk of exchange thunderstorms and hosting.
Another focus is on transfer costs. As currently stated, the Gram transfer would support zero charges, with an emphasis on immediate delivery. For small payments and point-to-point transfers, these two functions, if ultimately landed, would mean that the threshold for use would be significantly lower.
Telegram bet application payment scene
Embedding a wallet directly into a communications application means Telegram is trying to turn encrypted transfers into a routine operation similar to sending messages, rather than a function that exists on a separate platform or in an independent wallet application.
From a product path, this approach does not depend on re-acquisition of new users, but instead transforms existing users into users of encrypted assets. If a significant percentage of subsequent users actually access the wallet, the reach of Gram will be significantly expanded.
At present, Telegram has not published more specific dates or further technical details. The next focus of outside attention will be on how the wallet will be realized and whether the immediate and zero-fee transfer will be stable in a large-scale user scenario.
