The largest bank in Israel, Leumi, is promoting encrypted asset trading services for retail customers. According to the disclosures, the first tradable assets included bitcoin, Ethera and Solana, and services were expected to go online early in 2027.
Leumi access to Galaxy platform
This business will be made available to clients through Leumi and its mobile bank brand PEPPER. With the cooperation of both parties, Leumi will have access to Galaxy Digital ' s institutional infrastructure, GalaxyOne, which will be used to carry out the related encrypted asset transactions.
GalaxyOne supports services such as digital asset transactions, financing and pledge, mainly for customers such as banks, regulators, etc. For Leumi, this means that its encryption operations will be built on existing institutional platforms rather than fully self-built systems.
First to support three mainstream currencies.
The first currencies currently disclosed include bitcoin, Ethera and Solana. It was mentioned that the list might continue to expand in the future and that other assets, such as XRP, were expected to be included.

It should be noted that this service is not yet formally open to clients. According to the bank, the functionality is expected to be rolled out in early 2027 and made available through a stand-alone block in the application of the Leumi Trade capital market.
According to the bank, the relevant transaction environment will provide a regulated digital asset entry point for clients, with a focus on security and compliance. If landed as planned, Leumi would be one of the first banks in Israel to provide encrypted asset trading services directly to its clients.
