There is no clear time frame for the market when quantum calculations actually threaten the existing block chain encryption system. It appears, however, that the preparatory work cannot wait until the risk approaches, as wallets, nodes and asset movements often require longer cycles.

Funds begin to value migration capacity

The founder of the Moon Pursuit Capital Utkarsh Ahuja vs crypto.news indicated that, before 2027, the back quantum security, the password migration tool, and the infrastructure that could be upgraded in the future, could attract additional investments in encryption.

In his view, in assessing such projects, the focus was not only on technology per se, but also on the ability of products to access existing networks and to minimize interference with users, custodians and certifiers following changes in password standards.

AmericanFortress received $8 million in seed wheels

Moon Pursuit had previously joined SAVA Digital Assembly Fund and 0G Labs in a US$ 8 million seed ship financing for American Fortress. The company is developing a security programme for existing block-chain wallets and has submitted a patent for antiquantular signature.

The ZK-PoSP programme is designed to enable the wallet to prove control without exposing the original assistive words, with the objective of covering bitcoin, the Tokyo and Solana addresses and without requiring the user to transfer funds or replace private keys.

However, this option is still at the proposal stage. Upgrading support at the nodal level is still required to implement the chain. It is also mentioned in its technical paper that the back quantum protection capability is still speculatively designed and has not yet been validated by a real quantum attack.

Encryption finance is more oriented towards existing needs

Galaxy Research shows that, in the first quarter of 2026, a total of approximately $4 billion in finance was delivered in the area of encryption and block chains, involving 355 transactions, down 50 per cent from the previous quarter. Of this, trading, exchange, investment and lending companies together received about $2.6 billion.

Infrastructure ranked second by number of transactions, with 56; privacy and security companies completed 22. Ahuja believes that the agreements and applications will continue to receive financing, but that more funds may flow to the bottom-up systems needed for the safe use of digital assets by institutions.

NIST Started Quantum Standard

NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the United States of America, officially released its first three post-quantifiable password standards in August 2024 and recommended that system managers adopt them as soon as possible. Its schedule indicates that the algorithms for quanta vulnerability will be phased out after 2030 and removed from the standard system by 2035.

In the broader climate, global VC investments in the second quarter of 2026 totalled $22.7 billion, involving 8440 transactions. KPMG data show that the Quantum Calculator tracks are slowing down at a higher point than in 2025, but financing activities continue.
