XRP has recently lost another $1 mark, the first integer that has fallen since November 2024. At the same time, Peter Brandt, a senior trader who had long criticized XRP, once again publicly stated that he had no interest in holding such assets and that if he had a large amount of XRP in his hand, he would immediately replace it with bitcoin.

XRP lost the whole number again.

Reports indicate that the XRP is still in the vicinity of $1 and is trying to keep this psychologically high market interest. The CoinGecko data show that XRP is still about 72.6 per cent below its historical high of $3.65 on 17 July 2025.

This means that after the previous round of rapid increases, prices have clearly fallen. It is also mentioned that the XRP prices in the recent past were once lower than the RLUSD stable currency par value introduced by Ripple at the end of 2024.

Brandt repeats he doesn't like the XRP.

Brandt stated in its latest statement that it preferred to deal in futures rather than directly holding XRP. He said that even if he got a larger XRP space, he would convert it to bitcoin.

This statement continues his consistent attitude towards XRP over the past few years. Brandt has long been regarded as one of the public critics of the XRP, and has argued with the XRP community on several occasions and made a sharp evaluation of the coin and its supporters.

There was a brief shift to optimism.

Brandt, however, did not always maintain the same position. In November 2024, when the XRP was in the middle of a clear upswing, he mentioned that the currency had crossed the 2023 height and described its movement as a sign of a “large-scale post-discretion breakthrough”.

But this optimistic judgement has not lasted long. By March 2025, he had turned to caution, warning that if the fall pattern was established, the XRP could fall back to the vicinity of $1.07.

Now, as XRP returns to the dollar again, Brandt's previous judgment has re-emerged to the market. For the XRP, repositioning remains an important observation point for short-term price performance.
