In the second quarter of this year, Birkheil Khazawe significantly increased investment in Alphabet. The holdout was raised at the end of the season to the company's third-largest stock position, which also brought Birkhel to a close 14 consecutive quarters of net stock sales.
Alphabet hold the lead.
A portion of this increase was previously disclosed. Birkhel agreed in June this year to invest $10 billion in Alphabet through a closed stock deal, an arrangement related to the expansion of the latter ' s artificial intelligence infrastructure. According to the latest disclosures, the size of the Alphabet warehouse held by Birkhel at the end of the season was much higher than previously known.
According to the data, the market value of the Alphabet shares held by Birkhel was close to $38 billion and had entered the core holding sequence of its portfolio. This change is of particular concern for Birkhil, a long-standing, smaller S&T unit.
AI capital expenditure-led configuration changes
Alphabet continues to add AI related capital expenditure in recent years. The company had previously indicated that it planned to raise $80 billion to support the computing infrastructure required for AI products. This means that Birkhel's increase has actually invested more money in one of the world's most radical technology companies.
Second quarter to net purchase
In addition to Alphabet, there was a marked shift in the overall investment movement in Birkhel in the second quarter. Reuter quoted data stating that the company had bought some $23.5 billion in equities and sold some $3.7 billion in stocks during the current season, thus closing its record of net sales of shares over 14 consecutive quarters.
- Shares bought in the second quarter were about $23.5 billion.
- Shares sold in the second quarter were about $3.7 billion.
- Cumulative purchase of $39.4 billion in the first half of the year
The Birkhel II Quarterly also showed that companies had accumulated shares of $39.4 billion and sold $27.8 billion in the first half of 2026, reflecting their re-encumbering of equity assets during the year.
Cash reserves remain high
Although re-purchased, Birkhel did not significantly weaken the liquidity reserve. As at 30 June, companies held approximately $35.1 billion in cash and cash equivalents in insurance and other operations, as well as approximately $32.4 billion in United States short-term Treasury debt.
In addition to Alphabet, Birkhel has increased the United States home builder Lennar by nearly 30 per cent; the new warehouse, D.R. Horton, has been built, and has significantly increased the air hold of Dame. The company also completed a $6.8 billion acquisition of Taylor Morrison in July.
Overall, Alphabet is one of the most important things in the rotation warehouse. For Birkhel, this is not only a significant increase, but also an indication that its participation in the AI infrastructure expansion cycle is increasing.
