Relay, the owner of the AI Workstream Automation Enterprise, announced that it had ceased operations and that some of its employees would be transferred to the Google Chome team. The company had hoped to become a new generation of Zapiers, helping businesses to simplify repetitive tasks with AI.

Core staffing changes

Relay CEO Bank will also return to Google as Vice President of Google Chome. He will be responsible for the Cropme product and developer relationship team.

Bank said on X that he has long focused on building tools to make people work more efficiently with AI, and joining the Chrome team is an opportunity to bring this experience to more users.

Relay's product orientation

Relay was founded in 2021 and automated as the main hit. It assists enterprises in processing duplicate tasks such as document drafting, text editing and project management.

This company has a certain connection with Google. Bank worked for Google in the early years and later started a calendar application Timeful, which was subsequently acquired by Google.

This adjustment also reflects Google's continued embedding of AI functionality into core products such as Cropme and Search. Previously, Gemini had been connected to the search and Chrome, which also provided help in the browser.

Google recently revealed that Gemini has over 1 billion users.
