From 17 to 23 August, the encrypted market will usher in a new round of unlocking tokens involving ZKsync, Kaito, LayerZero, Meteora, SOON and MBG. The size of the unlocking of different projects varies significantly, and the market is usually concerned about whether new flows will magnify short-line fluctuations.

Unlocking the token does not necessarily lead to a fall in prices. The actual impact usually depends on the size of the unlock, the share of the flow drive, market liquidity and whether the new tokens are sold by the holders.

The 20th of August is the most concentrated.

The two unlocks that received more attention this week fell on August 20.

Kaito plans to unlock the lock on August 20th at 0300. According to the data, its value was approximately $9.09 million, or 10.74 per cent of the market value of the project. Binance's unlocked data indicates that approximately 32.6 million KATOs, valued at approximately $11.48 million, will be released this time, representing 7.63 per cent of the supply in circulation.

LayerZero will also be unlocked on August 20th. The value of their release is estimated at approximately $1.893 million, or 6.78 per cent of the market value. Binance data show that the number of unlocked items is approximately 257.1 million ZROs, valued at approximately $1.939 million, or about 4.4 per cent of the supply in circulation.

Tokenomist's August calendar also gives another caliber: KATO's cliff unlock on that day was about $29.4 million and ZRO was about $21 million. The valuation and statistical calibration of the different platforms are not entirely consistent, but both indicate that August 20 is the peak of the current round.

ZK and MET are smaller

ZKsync has been scheduled to unlock on August 17th. According to the data, the value of the unlock was approximately $1.31 million, approximately 1.70 per cent of its market value, which was a smaller one this week.

Meteora will unlock on August 23rd at 0300. Its equivalent value is approximately $1.16 million, representing approximately 1.3 per cent of the market value of the project, which is also at a relatively low level.

The rest of August is still over $200 million.

On 23 August, SOON will unlock an estimated 2,024 million tokens worth approximately $3.85 million, or 3.76 per cent of the supply in circulation. MBG (MultiBank Group) will release approximately 2,715 million tokens on 22 August, valued at approximately $2.85 million, or 6.16 per cent of the supply in circulation.

Tokenomist estimates that the total size of the cliff unlock for the full month of August is approximately $876 million, of which approximately $231 million remains to be released. Previously, on 6 August, HYPE had completed a contract of approximately $564 million, but only 0.99 per cent of its total supply.

  • YZY: August 16, approximately $35.6 million
  • H: On 25 August, approximately $21.3 million
  • HUMA: 26 August, approximately $9.3 million

On the whole, August 20th is still the most interesting breakout point for this month, with KATO and ZRO taking the main share.
