Cash App is further expanding encryption services from bitcoin and USDC to more digital assets. Through access to the encrypted payment platform MoonPay, eligible U.S. users will be able to purchase more coins directly from the Cash App balance and will be able to fill external wallets.
Extension of support
Previously, Cash App's encryption service had long been dominated by bitcoin and joined USDC earlier this year. With this access to MoonPay, the range of assets available to users has been expanded to include the Ethera, Solana, XRP and USDT.
This means that Cash App no longer provides only a few self-owned support assets, but uses third-party platforms to extend user access to the wider encryption market.
Can directly charge a wallet
In addition to purchasing tokens, users can recapitalize the wallet supported by MoonPay through the Cash App balance. The wallets mentioned include Ledger, BitPay, Trust Wallet, MetaMask and Uniswap.
This change has enhanced Cash App's role in encrypted payment chains. Users are not required to transfer funds to other payment channels before entering the wallet or currency purchase process, and the operating path is further shortened.
- Purchaseable assets include ETH, SOL, XRP, USDT
- Use Cash App balance to charge multiple wallets
- Services are open to eligible United States users
Block loan extended services
Cash App was launched by Jack Dorsey, a financial technology company, Block, with more than 50 million users. For many retail users in the United States, it has been an important entry point into the encryption market.
Morgan Kuntze, Global Partner, stated that bitcoin remained at the heart of the company ' s digital asset business, but that the company also wanted to provide users with more payment options and flexibility. It was reported that this collaboration also showed that Block could respond to users ' demand for more digital assets without building its own infrastructure.
In March of this year, Dorsey stated that he did not like supporting the stabilization currency, but acknowledged that users did have such needs. This consolidation of MoonPay suggests that Cash App, while retaining its Bitcoin core location, continues to be open to wider encryption payments and asset use.
