An unpublished system demonstration in the Apple section further points to AirPods, which is advancing with cameras. The video, which allegedly appeared in MacOS 26.7 RC, shows users lifting a book and asking and recording through Siri in conjunction with visual information.

The video bystander says that, with the help of “Visual Inteligence”, the user can request the system to be kept directly after seeing the content of interest. According to the report, this means that AirPods is not just a voice-interactive device, but may also assume an environmental sensory portal.
MacRumors states that it also found a hint in the system code that the device would alert the user when the camera was shielded by hair or other objects. This detail indicates that apples may already be preparing a more complete use scene for the relevant hardware.
Or with a new version of Siri
As early as May, Bloomberg reported that apples were in the later stages of testing for such products. The report mentioned that the device looked close to AirPods Pro 3, but that the headphone handle would be longer and equipped with LED indicators to indicate that the data was being uploaded to the cloud.
According to the latest news, Apple had hoped to launch the new AirPods in the first half of 2026, but with the new version of Siri coming online in September, the company might be able to release the product in conjunction with the subsequent operational system update.
