Reuters reported that World Liberty Financial is working with the AI platform WorldClaw to promote the use of the USD1 stabilization coin in modeling scenarios. As a result of WorldClaw's access to models of many Chinese technology companies, this cooperation also raises new security and interest-related issues.
USD1 for model payments
WorldClaw is registered in Hong Kong and provides various AI model access services. Reports indicate that 43 of its 90 models come from Chinese developers, including Ali Baba, Baidu, Z.ai, DeepSeek and the Dark Side of the Moon, and also provide OpenAI and Anthropic models.
According to Reuters, WorldClaw has supported users in using WorldLiberty's USD1 to pay for model visits. World Liberty executive Ryan Fang, who is also a WorldClaw consultant, shows that the two companies are more than just regular payment access.
Some suppliers have been restricted by the United States.
This cooperation has received attention mainly because some of the Chinese model suppliers provided by WorldClaw have been placed on a restricted or review list by the United States Government.
Z.ai's predecessor, AI, was listed by the United States Department of Commerce in January 2025, restricting access to United States technology. By June 2026, the United States Department of Defense had listed Ali Baba and Baidu as “Chinese military enterprises operating in the United States” and prohibited the Department of Defense from doing business with them.
Ali Baba objected to this finding. His spokesperson stated to Reuters that the company was neither a Chinese military enterprise nor a so-called civil-military integration system, and that the relevant determination would be sought through litigation.
Proceeds of cooperation not disclosed
At present, it is not possible to confirm the extent to which the Trump family has benefited from WorldClaw-related cooperation and what the financial arrangements are. The report only mentions that Ryan Fang provided consultancy services for WorldClaw and Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump spoke for the platform.
World Liberty spokesman David Wachsman stated that WorldClaw was an independent company and that large United States enterprises would also provide an AI model for China and the United States, which was more common in industry.
