Calendly is extending the product boundary from meeting appointments to post-session processing. The company introduced an AI meeting record tool that allows for the preparation of summaries, to-dos and draft mails after the call is completed and further allows for competition in office efficiency software.
Extension from appointment to post-session process
The company was originally known for its scheduling and meeting reservation software. It is now beginning to focus on the process after the meeting. According to the company, outside jobs such as sales, markets, etc. are the main users of these functions.
Toope Awotona, CEO of Calendly, stated that the recording and transliteration meetings themselves were common and that the real space was to continue to translate the transliteration into follow-up and to reduce manual processing and follow-up time.
New tool to cover abstract and draft mail
This tool can be added to the online meeting, recording audio and video and completing the transliteration, followed by the production of meeting summaries, action items and subsequent draft mail. The company also indicated that a function similar to Granola was being tested to allow meeting transliteration through the system audio.

In response, Calendly indicated that its records assistants would send a clear reminder that user meetings were being recorded.
This includes sending a reminder to the chat window that the participant has joined and is working; any user can ask the tool to exit the meeting. Through integration with the Calendly scheduling system, it can also notify participants that their calls will be recorded in advance of the meeting.
