Google announces the addition of learning tools to Search and Gemini to cover interactive visualization, 3D simulations, practice testing and research. The new tools are primarily for students and can also be used for day-to-day self-study and preparation.
Search Increase Interactive Learning
In Search, users can generate customized tools and simulation content around complex concepts. When searching for pH values, for example, AI Overview directly gives interactive vision and helps understand basic knowledge.
Users can also continue to pursue more detailed questions. Google says that AI Mode will create a more relevant interactive experience based on questions. Search has also added customized practice test features to cover subjects such as science, mathematics, humanities and foreign languages.
Lens can recognize jobs and give tips
And in the next few weeks, Lens from Search will also be part of the new interactive learning experience. When students take photographs of the subject, the system interprets the concept, identifies possible errors and gives guidance when they are stuck.
Users can also upload PDF, documents, slides and notes to generate learning materials. Google, for example, provides the system with a one-page outline of handwritten notes and lessons to refine key concepts.
Gemini Add Research and 3D Simulation
In Gemini, Google introduced a multistep study function. After the user initiates the study, he/she can leave the chat and then announce the results after the system has been completed before he/she continues to talk.
Gemini will also generate tables, grids and 3D simulations to help users understand more complex topics. Google has also included specialized learning centres in the Gemini application, where tools such as notebooks, flash cards and tests are centralized.
