The XAI chat robot Grok has recently been exposed to unusual responses, and some users have received large meaningless text after asking questions. The situation is mainly in the direct dialogue at Grok.com, where the Glog account response function on the X platform is not affected.
Some of the users have received large numbers.
According to TechCrunch, after a user asked the model to generate PDF, it received several consecutive symmetrical text instead of normal results. Also, when users check the source links in their responses, they find that content points to a set of websites related to enhanced learning research.
The affected users indicated that they were using the Grok Lite and noticed anomalies as early as Wednesday morning. TechCrunch failed to repeat the problem in its self-test, showing that the failure could affect only a part of the user.
Officially confirmed temporary failure.
As the number of unusual responses increased, a large number of complaints emerged from the Reddit community in Grok. A number of users stated that normality could normally be achieved after refreshing the session, but the view was also expressed that even if it had been refreshed several times, the problem of the code would continue.
The official log account number then responded on X that this type of “salad” output was a rare temporary generation failure. The account also indicates that the xAI status page shows that the service is functioning as a whole and that no system-level accidents were recorded.
The problem seems to be more limited.
From the information currently disclosed, the anomaly is mainly limited to the direct question scene on Grok.com and has not spread to the Grok account on X.com. This means that the problem is more like an anomaly of generation under a particular portal or version than an interruption of full service.
XAI has not responded to TechCrunch's request for comment. The report also mentions that the company has experienced significant staff movements in recent months. The Information previously stated that XAI had lost most of its founding team members, as well as at least 50 researchers and engineers.
Additional information:In July of this year, XAI just released the latest basic model and reported improvements in speed, token efficiency and cost. The anomaly occurred shortly after the release of the new model and brought renewed interest to its product stability.
