Yvette continues to invest in AI infrastructure. On 21 August, the company announced a partnership with the data centre developer, Cloverleaf Infrastructure, to further participate in the pre-construction phase of the data centre site and the power package.
It's called Young Waida.
The parties did not disclose the terms of the transaction. The Wall Street Journal, however, reported that the scale of the investment by Ingweida in Cloverleaf could be hundreds of millions of dollars. Reuters, for its part, states that British Wida now holds a minority interest in the company.
TechCrunch stated that it had sought evidence of further details of the transaction from Weida, but that no further clarification had been received as of the time of publication.
Cloverleaf for forward infrastructure
Cloverleaf was established in 2024 to provide infrastructure coordination services mainly between utility companies and data centres, including key resources such as electricity sources, site development and so forth. It does not sell chips directly, but rather provides pre-positioning conditions for the data centre project.
Another investment this week.
This cooperation is a continuation of the recent investment direction of In Weida. As the generation AI drive the increase in computing needs, the British Vida is moving further from the chip provider to the data centre finance and development chain, directly involved in the infrastructure building that supports the operation of the AI system.
Just earlier this week, Inveida announced an investment of $1.5 billion in a data centre project for SB Energy in Ohio. This project is linked to OpenAI.
