In an interview with Newsmax, United States Vice President Vance stated that Bitcoin and XRP had not been used by the Trump government as a direct reduction in federal debt. At a time when the size of United States Treasury debt had exceeded $40 trillion, the White House was now placing greater emphasis on economic growth, capital inflows abroad and the traditional policy instruments of the Treasury Department.

Debt response remains growth-oriented

In the interview, the moderator referred to Trump ' s earlier talk about encrypted stocks and asked if this would help to ease debt pressure. Vance did not support this in a positive way, but instead turned to the idea of introducing Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Becent, to keep the United States economy growing faster than debt.

Vance stated that the White House supported the programme and indicated that the United States was moving in that direction. According to him, a stronger economic expansion would help to broaden the tax base and improve the fiscal financing environment.

Foreign and national debt markets are ahead of us.

Vance also mentioned that the United States could attract nearly $19 trillion in foreign investment over the next decade. This funding is seen as helping to support the United States asset market and to provide additional leverage to the national debt market.

From this statement, the White House is now more inclined to use traditional capital inflows and economic expansion as a debt response tool than to rely directly on encrypted asset reserves.

Bitcoin reserves are not at the top.

Vance also mentioned that Trump remained interested in promoting the establishment of the United States Sovereign Wealth Fund. As currently presented, the core allocation direction of such funds is more likely to be United States equities, energy and other strategic assets.

This means that even if Bitcoin were to be included in the relevant asset mix in the future, its role would be closer to supporting configurations rather than being directly used to service or hedge federal debt. Trump had previously stated at the White House event that the Bitcoin Reserve Programme had been “discussed”, but that the specific structure would be decided by the Chairman of the United States SEC, Paul Atkins, and the Chairman of the United States Commission for Commodity Futures Trading, Michael Selig.

The Clarity Act is a priority.

In addition to the issue of reserves, the short-term focus of the Government in the area of encryption appears to be more legislative-oriented. Vance publicly supported the CLARITY Act and called it “very important” for the United States science and technology industry.

The bill aims to establish clearer regulatory rules for digital assets and block-chain projects and to help enterprises to obtain clearer compliance expectations when they operate in the United States. As far as current signals are concerned, the White House ' s priority on encryption policy remains to advance the regulatory framework before discussing broader reserve or asset allocation arrangements.
