An anonymous user recently left a wallet puzzle related to the creation block on the Bitcoin chain. The link records that this information is written to block 963,629, which is published on 22 August. According to the news, the material needed to construct the private key of the wallet came from the creation block dug out by China, but the creators did not have an open and complete route.

Puzzle writing OP RETURN

Galaxy Research noticed the deal on August 23rd. Open block data also show that the Foundation USA dug up blocks containing the deal at about 19:45 UTC on August 22. As the transaction had been confirmed, the text had become part of the history of the Bitcoin chain.

The total size of the transaction is approximately 500 bytes, the miner's fee is 250 bytes and the rate is about 0.60 bytes per virtual byte. Of this, the readable information written to OP RETURN is 255 bytes, or more than half of the original volume of the transaction. Galaxy Research describes it as “larger OP RETURN data”, which does not mean that it violates the Bitcoin Consensus rule.

The creator claims that the wallet is low.

The chain information states that the creator “created a bitcoin puzzle wallet using information from the Genesis block” and indicates that the entropy of this wallet is “very low”. According to them, everything necessary to rebuild the wallet is already in the Genesis block and therefore no additional private key backup is required.

In wallet generation, entropy values usually refer to the randomity used in private key generation. If the private key relies on open and repeatable data, security depends on whether the outside world can restore its selection, sequencing and conversion processes. In other words, the open information in the creation block does not in itself amount to a private key, but the key remains the method of extrapolation used by the creator.

Genesis block data is open.

The Bitcoin Founding Block was born on January 3, 2009 and consists of the block Hashi, Timetamp, Nonce, Merkle Root, the public key, and the widely known newspaper title “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on link of second bailout for banks.” These may all be part of the puzzle entry.

Open technical information indicates that the time stamp of the Genesis block is 1231006505 and the time stamp of Nonce is 2083236893. As the data are fully publicly available, anyone can reproduce the original input, but it is still necessary to find out which fields the creator chose and how to convert them into private key material in the wallet.

What needs to be distinguished is that this puzzle has nothing to do with the original 50 BTC block award. The original realization did not add that coinbase transaction to the cost-outable pool, so the 50 BTC itself was unmanageable.

There is no evidence of unsolved or transferred.

As at the time of the submission, there was no verified evidence that the puzzle had been successfully solved or that the wallets associated with the awards had been diverted. The next step, which is most easily verifiable, is to send out a chain transaction signed by the corresponding private key.

However, even if there were future transfers, it would not be immediately possible to prove that external participants had succeeded in solving the problem, as the original creator himself might control the wallet. At this stage, it is more like a chain puzzle designed around open data in the Genesis block than the proven “middle-heart secret”.
