Gemini has signed a letter of intent with Apex Fintech Solutions, which plans to connect encrypted forecast market products to a network of issuers of Apex services. Under the proposed arrangement, Gemini Titan would become the sole-regulated place for transactions related to the encryption incident contract and would be responsible for implementation and liquidation.
This cooperation still needs to be finalized. Two companies indicated that, if the agreement was completed, the issuer who had access to the Apex Futures Commission (FCM) system would be able to provide the client with an encrypted incident contract without having to establish a separate enforcement and liquidation arrangement with Gemini Titan.
Cooperation covers implementation and liquidation
According to both parties, the execution and liquidation of the transaction would be the responsibility of Gemini if the issuer provided an encrypted event contract through Apex ' s FCM. This means that Gemini and Apex are extending from brokering infrastructure to predicting market operations.
In addition to the encrypted incident contract, the parties indicated that there might also be future cooperation on sports, economic events and financial market-related contracts, but that there would be no exclusive arrangements in those areas.
Gemini plus predicts market operations
This cooperation will lead to new distribution channels for Gemini Titan. Gemini entered the United States regulated forecast market in December 2025, when Titan obtained a designated contract market (DCM) licence from the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Gemini then introduced a forecast market product that allows eligible customers to trade contracts linked to specific future results. According to the company ' s performance material for the second quarter of 2026, the Titan platform has accumulated over 225 million contracts for transactions and over 27 million transaction users.
However, the current share of income in this operation remains low. Gemini disclosed that projected market operations generated about $0.5 million in revenue in the second quarter of the year, compared to $45.5 million in total corporate income for the same period.
Self-established liquidation infrastructure is online
Gemini added a settlement in April this year. Its subsidiary, Olympus, was approved as the Derivative Clearing Agency (DCO) and qualified to liquidate derivatives in combination with Titan ' s DCM licence plate.
Gemini states that its derivatives clearing house was on line on 4 August and that the settlement of the contracts was projected to be transferred to the company ' s own infrastructure. This is particularly important in the case of Apex, as the proposed arrangement clearly leaves Gemini with concurrent responsibility for implementation and liquidation.
According to the company, the infrastructure also supports futures, options, sustainable contracts and forecast markets. Gemini also indicated that, following Titan's DCM license, the company was working on providing more regulated encrypted derivatives to United States clients.
Regulatory disputes are still advancing.
Gemini Titan's projected market track is highly competitive. It was reported that the transactions between Kalshi and Polymarket were significantly larger, with the monthly turnover of the two platforms reaching tens of billions of dollars.
At the same time, it is anticipated that contracts in the United States are still subject to regulatory controversy, with one focus on whether a federally regulated incident contract will be subject to state lottery laws. The Attorney General of New York, Letitia James, indicted Gemini Titan and Coinbase Financial Markets in April this year, claiming that the contracts in question were in violation of state lottery rules. Since then, similar proceedings have been brought against Kalshi, Coinbase and Polymarket in Wisconsin.
The Gemini federal licensing system was still in operation as these cases progressed. Titan holds a DCM license and Olympus holds a DCO license. Gemini and Apex stated that they expected to complete the remaining negotiations in the coming weeks.
